Brady Elbert Thomas, affectionately known as "Brad", was born September 1,1969 in Columbia, South Carolina to Anthony Osborne Thomas, Sr. and the late Ruby Lee Lloyd. His departed this life on earth to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at his home in Columbia, South Carolina.
Brad was educated in formal public school systems of Richland County, South Carolina, Germany, Fort Mead, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. He graduated from Washington and Lee High School in Virginia.
Brad spent his work life in Northern Virginia and Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He was trained as a chef at Fort Jackson and worked there until he retired due to illness.
At an early age, Brad received subscriptions to a wrestling magazine and weekly Sports Illustrated Magazine. Brad read them cover to cover. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved to watch wrestling and the NFL. His favorite team was the Washington Commanders.
Those left to cherish fond and precious memories of Brad are his father, Anthony Thomas, Sr. of FL; stepfather, Gary (Angela) Thompson of MD; devoted brothers, Anthony (Jasmina) Thomas of Dallas, TX and Craig (Bianca) Thompson of Stafford, VA; one aunt, Kathryn (Daniel) of New York, NY; one uncle, Leon Lloyd of Columbia, SC; nephews, Kevin Thomas and Cayden Thompson; loving friend and caregiver, Susanna Lakin of Columbia, SC; special cousin, Tanisha Daniels; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. He will be especially missed by the Jackson, Lloyd and Scott Families.
